EFIS Familiarisation Course

The Course

With the ever increasing modernisation of cockpits, glass cockpits are clearly the future. In recognition of this we have developed a glass cockpit and EFIS familiarisation course to assist new glass cockpit pilots in operating proceedures.

For the instructor to sign off the differences training in your logbook you will require:

  • Sufficient operating experience to become familiar with the glass cockpit layout and usage, as well as emergency procedures. This will include a familiarisation session, a navigation exercise and simulated circuit procedures. It is recommended that a minimum of 2 hours is spent training in the simulator, however this training duration is dependent on you!
  • Because we operate a simulator as oppossed to aircraft ground school work can be minimised, making this a time efficient method of learning.

Costs

The course costs is £395, or if you would just like to experience glass cockpit operations then an hourly charge for hire with a simulator instructor is £185 per hour.
